How to scan multiple pages into one PDF on iPhone

Scanner 1.0 is awaiting App Store review. This guide previews the submitted version; a public download is not available yet.

Capture related pages in one scanning session to make a single PDF. Check their sequence before sending a contract, application or set of notes.

Before you begin

Arrange the originals in reading order and separate blank pages. Count them first, including any reverse sides containing information, so you can verify the finished document against the paper stack.

Step by step

  1. Choose Scan Document in Scanner and capture the first page.
  2. Continue capturing the remaining pages before ending the scan session.
  3. Save the document, open Edit and review the thumbnails in order.
  4. Reorder or rotate pages where needed, then share the combined PDF.

Check the result

Read through the exported PDF from beginning to end. Compare its page count with your original stack and inspect any fold, handwritten addition or faint stamp.

Limits and troubleshooting

Do not create a separate document after every capture unless you intend to merge documents later. If one page is unreadable, correct the capture before relying on the complete PDF; a complete page count does not guarantee complete information.
