How to make photo cleanup a manageable routine

A small review session is easier to verify than a one-time deletion of thousands of photos. Use Cleanup Pro's categories to work through one kind of clutter at a time.

Before you begin

Choose a clear stopping point, such as one screenshot group or one set of similar holiday photos. Make sure you have time to inspect the selected images before any deletion confirmation.

Step by step

  1. Start with temporary screenshots or obvious unwanted video takes.
  2. Review duplicate groups while keeping a desired version.
  3. Compare similar photos more carefully because they may contain meaningful differences.
  4. Finish by checking the retained items in Photos.

Check the result

Record what you reviewed if the library is large. This prevents repeated scanning of the same uncertain groups while important decisions remain unresolved.

Limits and troubleshooting

Do not set a deletion quota simply to achieve a particular storage number. The goal is to remove files you no longer want. Keep uncertain items for a later review and retain important originals through a separate backup process.
