Cleanup Pro guides

Why Cleanup Pro may not show all your photos

The photos visible to Cleanup Pro depend on the access granted by iOS. Limited or selected-photo access can make a scan look incomplete without anything being wrong with the library itself.

Before you begin

Compare a specific photo you can see in Photos with the app's scan results. This gives you a concrete example to investigate rather than assuming a lower total means files were lost.

Step by step

  1. Open iPhone Settings and find Cleanup Pro's photo permission.
  2. Review whether access is limited to selected items.
  3. Adjust the selection or access level only if you want the app to review more of the library.
  4. Reopen Cleanup Pro and let its scan update.

Check the result

Allow enough time for large libraries and remotely stored items. Check whether one category is incomplete or whether the whole app lacks access.

Limits and troubleshooting

Granting broader access changes what the app may inspect; it does not by itself delete anything. Avoid reinstalling as a first step when the issue is permission, and review the actual system deletion prompt separately from access requests.
