How to review tax settings in Invoice Dash

Invoice Dash offers per-item, total and tax-inclusive calculation modes. These are calculation settings; choose the mode and rate that match your own verified invoicing requirements.

Before you begin

Have the applicable instructions for your business available before editing tax fields. This guide explains how to review the app's output, not which taxes you are required to charge.

Step by step

  1. Open the invoice editor and inspect the tax mode.
  2. Enter the verified rate and apply it to the intended items or total.
  3. Check whether entered prices are intended to include tax.
  4. Preview the PDF and compare the subtotal, tax and final amount.

Check the result

Test a simple line item with an amount you can calculate independently. This makes a mistaken inclusive-versus-exclusive setting easier to detect before adding a complex set of charges.

Limits and troubleshooting

Rates and invoice requirements vary by jurisdiction and transaction. Do not copy a sample rate from another document or country without checking it. If you are unsure about the appropriate treatment, resolve that before issuing the invoice.
