Create an email QR code on your iPhone
An email QR code prepares an email action for a compatible reader. It does not send a message automatically or guarantee that a mail app is configured on the receiving phone.
App used in this guide: QR Code Scanner ↗
Before you begin
Choose the destination email address and prepare a short subject and body if needed. Avoid placing secrets or personal customer information in a public code.
Step by step
- Open QR Code Scanner's email creation form.
- Enter the recipient and any offered subject or message fields, then save.
- Scan the generated image on another phone with a configured mail app.
Check the result
Check the recipient, subject and message in the draft before sending. Different readers may handle optional fields differently.
If it does not work
If scanning only shows text, try a reader that supports email actions or copy the address manually. Changing the destination later requires a new code; scanning alone is not a mailing-list subscription.
