Create a phone-number QR code on iPhone
A phone QR code lets a compatible reader offer a call to the stored number. The person scanning remains in control of whether to start the call.

Before you begin
Use the complete phone number with its international country code when the code will be shared across countries. Check that it reaches the intended business or person.
Step by step
- In QR Code Scanner, choose the telephone creation type.
- Enter the number and save the code.
- Share the image and scan it on another phone to inspect the proposed number.
Check the result
Verify the country code and all digits before printing. You can confirm the displayed action without completing an unnecessary call.
If it does not work
A QR code does not make an international or premium-rate call free. If the number changes, replace the code wherever it is distributed; the stored number is not remotely updated.
