Create a Wi-Fi QR code on your iPhone
A Wi-Fi QR code contains connection details that a compatible phone can read. In SpaceNode QR Code Scanner, choose Wi-Fi in the creation screen, enter the network details, and save the code. Anyone who can read the code can obtain those details, so use a guest network when appropriate.

Prepare the right network details
Use the exact network name, including spaces and capitalization, and the correct password. Check the encryption setting in your router’s documentation or settings rather than guessing.
The app’s Wi-Fi form offers WPA/WPA2, WEP and None. Use the option that matches your existing network; do not weaken your router’s security to fit a QR code. Enterprise sign-ins and captive-portal networks require additional steps and are not equivalent to a simple password-based Wi-Fi code.
Create the code
- Open QR Code Scanner and go to the code creation screen.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Choose the matching encryption type.
- Enter the network name and, when required, its password.
- Tap Save to create the code and open its details.
- Use the available sharing or image-saving action to keep a copy for your guests.
The app builds the QR contents from the form fields, including escaping supported special characters. You do not need to hand-write the Wi-Fi QR text format.
Test before printing
Scan the finished code with another compatible phone and confirm that it offers the intended network. If it fails, recheck the network name, password and encryption. Test from the actual saved image or printed copy, not only from the editor screen.
Leave a clear border around the code and use strong contrast. Avoid shrinking it until the individual squares blur. If you change the network name or password later, create and distribute a new code.
Share access deliberately
A QR code is a convenient way to distribute credentials, not a way to hide them. Do not post a private network’s code on a public page. For a home guest area or a small business, consider a separate guest network configured for that purpose.
QR Code Scanner has free creation limits and Premium options. Review the app’s current offer if a limit prompt appears.
