Create a website QR code on your iPhone

A website QR code opens the URL encoded inside it. Use a complete public address and test it before adding the code to a poster, package or business card.

Before you begin

Open the destination in a browser and confirm it works without your private sign-in. Copy the full https:// address rather than a search query or a local file path.

Step by step

  1. In QR Code Scanner's creation screen, choose the website type.
  2. Paste the full URL and save the code.
  3. Share the generated image, then scan that exact image on another phone.

Check the result

Check the domain, path and destination page. Test the printed size as well if the code will go on paper.

If it does not work

A saved code contains a fixed URL; the app does not turn it into a remotely editable dynamic link. If the encoded address changes, create a new code or manage redirection on a website you control.
