How to enter large amounts in Currency without extra zeros

Currency provides amount shortcuts such as 1K, 10K, 100K and 1M. They can speed up large-number input, but the displayed amount should always be checked before conversion.

Before you begin

Confirm the source currency first. The same number of zeros can represent very different purchasing power across currencies, and regional formatting may use different decimal and grouping separators.

Step by step

  1. Tap the source-currency row to open amount input.
  2. Use the appropriate shortcut control for the amount you want.
  3. Read the resulting number and adjust it if necessary.
  4. Confirm and compare the converted value in the destination row.

Check the result

For a test, compare the shortcut result with the amount entered manually. This makes it easier to learn how the controls affect the current input rather than guessing whether they add or replace a value.

Limits and troubleshooting

If the converted value is unexpectedly large, inspect the input and currency code before changing rate settings. Keep decimal places and thousands separators distinct when reading a price from a foreign-language listing.
