How to reuse favorite GIFs across GIFFF, its keyboard and Messages

GIFFF shares favorites between its main app, keyboard and iMessage extension on the same device. This keeps frequently used reactions close to the conversation.

Before you begin

Choose a small collection with different purposes: greeting, thanks, celebration and goodbye. Favorites are references to GIFs in the app's collection; they are not a promise that every file is available offline.

Step by step

  1. Open a GIF in GIFFF and tap its favorite control.
  2. Open the favorites area and confirm the GIF is listed.
  3. Switch to GIFFF in Messages or the installed GIFFF keyboard.
  4. Open favorites there and select the reaction you want to send.

Check the result

Try one favorite through each interface before building a large collection. The keyboard may still need internet access and Full Access to retrieve a GIF for copying.

Limits and troubleshooting

If a favorite is missing, reopen the extension after saving it in the main app. Do not assume favorites automatically sync between separate iPhones; this guide covers the shared collection within the app and its extensions on one device.
