How to send a GIF with the GIFFF iMessage app
The GIFFF Messages extension lets you browse and insert GIFs without leaving a conversation. It is separate from the systemwide GIFFF keyboard.

Before you begin
Install GIFFF and open it once, then return to Messages. The position of the apps menu depends on your iOS version, and you may need to expand the available apps list to find GIFFF.
Step by step
- Open a conversation in Messages and open the apps menu beside the message field.
- Select GIFFF from the available apps.
- Search, browse a category or choose a favorite GIF.
- Tap the GIF, review the composed message and send it.
Check the result
Confirm that the GIF appears in the conversation as intended. Sending and delivery depend on Messages and the connection; selecting an animation in the extension does not by itself prove it was delivered.
Limits and troubleshooting
If GIFFF does not appear, check the Messages apps list and reopen Messages after installing the main app. Avoid changing the system keyboard settings unless you also want to use the separate keyboard extension.
