How to prepare Currency for offline travel
Currency can calculate with previously saved exchange-rate data when you are offline. Load the currencies and rates before losing your connection, and remember that cached rates are not live quotes.

Before you begin
Prepare while you still have a reliable connection. Add your destination and home currencies, then check when the rate data was last updated. A first-time installation needs data before offline conversions can be useful.
Step by step
- Open Currency online and add the currencies for your trip.
- Let the rates load and make a small test conversion.
- Review the update information in the refresh settings.
- Test the same conversion without a connection before relying on it during travel.
Check the result
Use offline results as approximate comparisons. When you reconnect, refresh the data before making a new comparison that depends on current rates.
Limits and troubleshooting
If no saved data is available, reconnect and load it first. Changing the amount while offline recalculates with the same stored rates; it does not mean a new market rate was downloaded.
