Create a contact QR code for a business card on iPhone

A contact QR code shares structured details such as a name, phone number and email. The receiving phone still controls how those fields are shown or added to Contacts.

Before you begin

Decide which work details you want to publish. Avoid adding a private home address or personal number to a code that will appear publicly.

Step by step

  1. In QR Code Scanner, choose the contact creation form.
  2. Enter the name and required contact fields, checking phone country codes and email spelling.
  3. Save and share the code image, then scan it with a second phone.

Check the result

Review the receiving phone's contact preview field by field before printing cards. Longer contact records produce denser codes, so keep only useful details.

If it does not work

A scan does not silently update everyone else's address book. If your encoded phone or email changes, distribute a replacement code. Test both iPhone and Android if your audience uses both.
