How to review large videos before freeing iPhone storage

Video files can occupy substantial space, making them useful candidates for review. Cleanup Pro helps you browse videos, but duration and size alone do not determine what should be deleted.

Before you begin

Check that important recordings are safely retained before removing them. If you use iCloud Photos, understand that deleting a video can remove it from the synced library on other devices as well.

Step by step

  1. Open the videos area in Cleanup Pro.
  2. Inspect videos that appear to consume significant space.
  3. Play each candidate and check whether it is a unique recording or an unwanted take.
  4. Select unwanted files and review the deletion confirmation.

Check the result

Verify any exported backup by opening it before deleting the source. A thumbnail or incomplete upload is not enough to confirm that the full recording was preserved.

Limits and troubleshooting

The space reported by a cleaner may differ from immediately recovered device storage because of Recently Deleted, optimized iCloud storage and system updates. Recheck iPhone Storage after the device has had time to update its figures.
