Scan a paper document and print a copy with your iPhone

Use your iPhone camera to scan a page, review the resulting document and print it through AirPrint. This is useful when your printer has no convenient copier controls.

Before you begin

Place the paper on a contrasting flat surface in even light. Keep fingers, shadows and reflective objects away from text and page edges.

Step by step

  1. Open Smart Printer's Scanner and capture the page.
  2. Review the crop, orientation and readability; retake blurred pages before saving the document.
  3. Open the saved scan, choose Print and select an AirPrint-compatible printer.

Check the result

Print one page and compare the smallest text with the original. Correct an incomplete crop in the scan rather than expecting the printer to recover missing content.

If it does not work

A scan is an image-based copy unless a separate text-recognition workflow is used. Do not assume it is editable text. For multipage documents, check order and missing pages before printing.
