Print an email attachment from your iPhone

Print the attached document itself when you need an invoice, ticket or form. Printing the email conversation may include headers and omit the attachment's full pages.

Before you begin

Download the attachment in your mail app and confirm that you can open it. Check that you have the final version rather than an image preview or a link requiring sign-in.

Step by step

  1. Use the attachment's share menu to save it to Files.
  2. Open that saved file in Smart Printer and inspect the pages.
  3. Choose Print and review your AirPrint printer, page range and copy count.

Check the result

For tickets or forms, inspect barcode clarity and the full page boundary. Verify the preview before printing several copies.

If it does not work

If the document cannot be rendered correctly, ask the sender for a PDF. Smart Printer does not unlock password-protected or access-restricted attachments simply by importing them.
