Higher resolutions are sharper but make larger files and take longer. On phones, very large pages may be rendered at a lower resolution automatically.
PNG or JPG?
- PNG is best for text, tables and diagrams: edges stay crisp, but files are larger.
- JPG is best for photo-heavy pages and gives smaller files. At lower quality, text edges can look slightly blurry.

FAQ
The text in my images looks blurry.
Choose 200 DPI or higher and the PNG format. If the PDF itself is a scan, the images canโt be sharper than the original scan.
Can I save only certain pages?
Yes. Tap the Save button under a page preview to save just that page as an image.
Where do the images go on an iPhone?
Safari saves them to the Downloads folder in the Files app. To add one to Photos, open it in Files, tap Share and choose Save Image.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Previews and conversion are done entirely in your browser; the file is not sent anywhere.
