Title case rules
In title case the major words start with a capital letter, while articles (a, an, the), short prepositions (of, in, on, at, to, by, for) and coordinating conjunctions (and, but, or) stay lowercase. The first and last word, and the word right after a colon, are always capitalized. Style guides such as AP, APA and Chicago differ in the details (AP capitalizes prepositions of four letters or more, for example), so check the guide your publication follows.
FAQ
How are words split for camelCase or snake_case?
Words are split at spaces, hyphens, underscores, dots and other symbols, and at existing case boundaries. Even with acronyms, parseHTMLString becomes parse, html and string.
What happens with several lines?
Line breaks are kept, and programming styles such as camelCase are applied to each line separately, so you can convert a whole list of names at once.
What is the difference between Capitalize each word and Title case?
Capitalize each word capitalizes every word, including a, of and the. Title case leaves those short words lowercase unless they come first, last or after a colon.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, and the text is only saved locally so it is still there when you come back.
