About the Volume Converter
This volume converter shows any amount in metric units (ml, L, mยณ), US customary units (gallon, quart, pint, cup, fluid ounce, oil barrel) and UK imperial units at the same time. US and imperial gallons and pints are different sizes, so both are listed separately โ handy for recipes, fuel, drinks and aquarium or pool volumes.

US vs. imperial measures
The US gallon (3.785 L) is about 17% smaller than the imperial gallon (4.546 L) used in the UK. A US pint is 16 fl oz (473 ml), while a British pint is 20 imperial fl oz (568 ml) โ which is why a pint of beer in a London pub is bigger than one in New York.
